July 26th, 2026 Delegate Report
Good afternoon everyone, so great to see you all today. I want to thank all the districts who have invited me to attend their meetings. Connecting with all the GSR’s has been a great experience. I look forward to the 2 that are scheduled for next month leading up to our August Assembly. Not to steal Judy’s thunder but I want to mention a ton of work and consideration has gone into the planning of the August assembly. Please let your districts know to attend either in person or online. We will be electing a nomination from Area 43 for the Northeast Regional Trustee position which will be voted on at the 77th General Service conference 2027.
I attended the professional platform series this past Thursday hosted by Area 19’s past PI chair. This gave a deep look into what recovery friendly work places look like and how AA can work together to assist in helping drive workplaces to be more recovery friendly. The next series event is on October 22nd from 7:00-8:30 EST I will have a flyer sent to the secretary for inclusion when the minutes go out. This series is especially helpful for those who are doing or might be interested in our PI/CPC work. The October session we will hear from Class A Trustee Kerry M.
I am expecting next month I will have a number of updates on a lot of the things we have been talking about such as the Everything AA app, Final Conference Reports, and release of the updated service manual however as of right now the General Service Board meeting has not taken place (it is next weekend) AAWS will also have their Board meeting next weekend. Following those meetings I suspect to have some updates.
To round out August I am looking forward to visiting our friends in the north by taking a trip to the Eastern Canada Regional Forum. The Northeast Regional Forum is going to be in Niagara Falls NY May 20th-23rd 2027. Forums are a way for the fellowship to connect with the General Service Board, AAWS and Grapevine Boards as well as GSO staff members. Our boards provide a lot of information about their current activities and what’s going on in AA. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and even air concerns.
The other Save the date that everyone should be planning now for is NERAASA. Once registration is open I will provide that information. SENY Area 49 is hosting 2027’s NERAASA in Terry Town NY the weekend of February 26th-28th below is a link to the NERAASA website where you can see all the available information we currently have.
I am so pleased to announce that our past Delegate Sue W. and I will be putting on a concepts study including the service manual starting sept 14th running Mondays form 7-8 pm. We will be focusing on the concepts first and will begin the service manual in January.
