The general service representatives (GSRs) are the foundation of our general service structure. Thank you for serving in this important role.
On behalf of your group, you participate with the GSRs of other local groups in regular district meetings. These district meetings allow the GSRs to discuss plans and make decisions on how to best serve the local groups and support their Twelfth Step work. At these regular meetings you will also learn more about what is happening in AA world service.
GSRs also take part in the quarterly Area 43 assemblies. As voting members of the Assembly you will be able to give input to the delegate, who represents NHAA at the annual General Service Conference.
Did you know?
An important part of the role of the GSR is to attend our Area meetings to learn about what’s happening in NHAA and bring that information back to your group. You are also the voice of your group in decisions that we make at the Area level. Participation from GSRs is an important part of ensuring we are acting in line with the group conscience of members around the state.
Members who serve in Area officer and Area committee chair positions are available to support you if you have questions. Please reach out!
Alcoholics Anonymous World Services has organized helpful information for new and current GSRs to learn more about service and the role of the GSR. The digital kit lists different books, service tools, pamphlets and other resources to help you and your group in your journey as a GSR.
Has your Group Service Representative changed recently? We would love to hear from you and have the latest information for our records so we can keep you in the loop about Area business and events.
Did information related to your group change like the time or location? Are there issues with your listing on the NHAA website or Meeting Guide App? Please let us know by submitting a group change form to our Registrar.
Selecting "Ok" will redirect you from the NHAA.net site to an outside resource; selecting "Cancel" will allow you to remain on our site.
