The DCMs are essential links between the group GSRs and the area delegate to the General Service Conference. Thank you for serving in this important role.
The district committee member (DCM) is the leader of the district committee of GSRs. Through your interactions with the GSRs, you are exposed to the group conscience of your district. You pass on your district’s thinking to area committees and service workers and then carry information back to local GSRs, who in turn keep their group members informed on various AA issues.
What does a DCM do?
Host District Meetings
Attend Monthly Area Business Meetings and Quarterly Assemblies
Part of the role of the DCM is to attend our Area meetings to learn about what’s happening in NHAA and bring that information back to your district. You are also the voice of your district in decisions that we make at the Area level. Participation from DCMs is an important part of ensuring we are serving the various needs of districts around the state.
